Headache & Migraine Relief

Can you imagine what it’s like to have a headache every single day of your life? Or have a migraine that makes it impossible for you to get out of bed all day?

Those who experience chronic headaches and migraines know just how debilitating they can be. At Anesco Interventional Pain Institute, we know what you are going through and we have a solution.

Interventional pain medicine offers multiple treatment options depending on the type of headache or migraine you are experiencing. Our doctors will help you understand why you are experiencing headaches or migraines and determine which treatment will work best for you.

Types of Headaches

There are three main types of headaches including migraines, which are typically described as a throbbing pain that causes sensitivity to light or smells. Migraines also cause nausea and/or vomiting because the pain is so severe.

The other two types of headaches are cluster headaches and tension headaches. Tension headaches are common and do not typically require medical treatment. Cluster headaches, however, happen at the same time every day, and they are painful.

Treatment Options

One of the most common ways to get headache and migraine relief is to try BOTOX® injections. The medication can actually work as a nerve block, shutting off the nerve signals that trigger a pain response. Relief from headaches and migraines using BOTOX can last for months, and the treatment can be repeated as necessary.

Anesco Interventional Pain Institute has multiple board-certified, fellowship-trained anesthesiologists who are also certified in pain management. Our providers work as a team to maximize the care every patient receives. We treat headache and migraine pain in addition to back pain, cancer pain, and more in our Margate and Fort Lauderdale, Florida offices.
