Jonathan Aarons, MD

Jonathan Aarons, MD

Interventional Pain Specialist and Anesthesiologist

Dr. Jonathan Aarons is medical director and chief of anesthesia at Coral Springs Surgical Center in Coral Springs, Florida. He is board certified in both anesthesia and pain management, and he has more than 20 years of experience helping South Florida patients manage their acute and chronic pain, including herniated and bulging discs, spinal stenosis, facet disease, nerve damage and injury, complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), and reflex sympathetic dystrophy (RSD).

Dr. Aarons completed his medical degree at the University of Maryland in Baltimore, Maryland, and an internship in internal medicine from Mercy Hospital in Baltimore. He completed his residency in anesthesiology at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina.

He is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, American Society of Regional Anesthesia, International Anesthesia Research Society, and International Spinal Injection Society.

Manuel Longo, MD

Manuel Longo, MD

Interventional Pain Specialist and Anesthesiologist

Dr. Manuel Longo is chief of the Department of Anesthesiology at Broward Health Imperial Point, and director of anesthesia at Imperial Point Surgery Center. He is a board-certified anesthesiologist with subspecialty training in pain management.

Dr. Longo completed his medical degree at the Ponce School of Medicine in Puerto Rico, and his residency in anesthesiology as well as a fellowship in pain management at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami. He is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Dr. Longo is a diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology. He is also a member of the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, the Florida Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, and the Broward Medical Association.

What Is Interventional Pain Medicine?

Interventional pain medicine is a relatively new but growing field that utilizes a variety of procedures such as injections, nerve blocks, and physical therapy to treat painful disorders and injuries. Interventional pain physicians are board-certified anesthesiologists with subspecialty training in pain medicine.
